Questions

The countdown

Is the countdown free?

Yes. No account, no email, no limit on the number of shows.

Where is my list saved?

In your browser's storage on the device you used. It isn't sent to us. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, it's gone, so export a CSV or copy a share link for anything you need to keep.

How are the dates worked out?

Each task is set a number of days before or after one of five dates: opening day, move-in, the last show day, the advance-price deadline and the advance warehouse cutoff. Deadlines that land on a weekend or a major US holiday move to the business day before. The how it works page has the table.

My exhibitor kit has different deadlines. Which wins?

The kit, always. Enter its advance-price deadline and warehouse cutoff under "Dates from your exhibitor kit" and the related tasks move. For any other task, use Edit to change the date.

Some tasks are marked "Due now". Why?

The ideal date for them has already passed, usually because the show is close. They still matter; do them first. Tick them off or delete the ones that no longer apply.

How do I get the tasks into my calendar?

Press "Calendar (.ics)". Open the file and your calendar app (Apple Calendar, Outlook) adds each open task as an all-day event. In Google Calendar use Settings, Import. Tasks already ticked off are left out.

Can I share the list with a colleague?

"Copy share link" puts the whole list, with your edits and check-offs, inside a link. Whoever opens it gets their own copy in their browser. Changes don't sync between copies; that is what the team planner is for.

Does it work for shows outside the US?

The dates work anywhere. The task wording follows how US shows and contractors run things, such as advance warehouses and material handling.

Can I add my own tasks?

Yes. "Add task" adds one with any date, category and note. You can also edit or delete any task on the list.

The team planner

What is the team planner?

The version for companies doing several shows a year with more than one person: all your shows in one calendar, tasks assigned to people, email reminders and your own template. It is in early access.

What will it cost?

Early access is free while it is being built. The price will be published on this site before anyone is asked to pay.
